Born From Pain - War

There is so much generic metalcore out there these days where it's impossible to tell one band from the next. Born From Pain isn't one of those bands. Their brand of metalcore has a distinctive style and point of view.

War is perfectly encapsulated in the leadoff track "Relentless," whose title accurately describes Born From Pain's aggressive riffs and bone crushing breakdowns. The intensity is framed by more melody than they've had on previous releases. That melody doesn't water things down though, just adds more diversity. That diversity is also showcased in the instrumental track "The War Is On," which features a little slower pace and lets the band get their groove on.

Born From Pain's lyrics are politically charged and express their anger and disapproval of what's happening in the world today. Che Snelting's vocals are raw and emotional. War also features guest vocals from Barney Greenway (Napalm Death), Lou Koller (Sick Of It All)and Jan-Chris de Joeijer (Gorefest).
