The Norwegian thrash trio Audiopain has been around for more than a decade. They've released several split CDs and EPs, but this is only their second full-length CD.
The Switch To Turn Off Mankind is barely a full-length, with 6 songs clocking in at just over 25 minutes. It's catchy thrash with great grooves and a slight black metal influence. The songs have memorable riffs and a raw, somewhat retro feel.
Sverre Dæhli is Audiopain's vocalist, and he sings with a distinctive high pitched raspy voice. Thrash metal fans will want to check this band out. More songs would have been nice, but the secret is to always leave them wanting more, and Audiopain succeeds on that count.
