Corrupt Minds was originally released in 1988, when members of Acrophet were just teenagers. The songs are raw, angry thrash with crossover influences. They were one of the early purveyors of speedcore, combining the emotion and attitude of hardcore with thrash guitar riffs and pounding drums played at warp speed.
The vocals are hardcore style yells, with lyrics of rebellion, anger and diaffection. It's a very straightforward album with relatively simple song structures and a direct message. Corrupt Minds was fairly obscure, and fans of early thrash, crossover thrash and speed metal may want to check this out now that it's been re-released.
